From Drab To Fab?

Recently I've been feeling rather drab and run down. I feel that 4 and a half years of sleepless nights have taken their toll and I've also put on a lot of weight. Although I'm generally quite a confident person this does affect how I feel about myself and I really want to do something to change it.

Apart from the fact that I absolutely love cream cakes I blame this on the fact that I always feel so tired that I don't seem to have the time about thinking about a healthy diet so I end up just grabbing a coffee and a biscuit to keep me going. I then get stuck in a vicious cycle where I feel lousy because I eat too much junk and then I eat too much junk because I feel lousy!

Ironically I always make sure that my children eat really healthily but I just end up forgetting about myself. I have always felt that if someone just put the healthy food in front of me then I wouldn't have to think about it and hopefully I would loose weight.

Anyway the blogging gods have seen fit to help me out on this and I've been lucky enough to be offered a free 2 week trial of the Jenny Craig diet - where the food I need to eat is literally brought to my door, all nicely packaged and calorie counted.

I get my delivery on Monday and I can't wait - I'm hoping it will be the kick start I need to get much healthier and make the changes I want to my life.

I will of course be blogging more about the diet when I have started an will let you all know how it goes. Until then....I might just have to have one last cream bun!

  1. Hiya, good luck and I can relate! Have been at Slimming World since late July. Lost 1.5 stones so far. Starting to get back in old clothes-it's a nice feeling. Rachel x
